Christmas tree farms in Texas

18 farms · checked October 3, 2026

A Texas Christmas tree trip can lead through the countryside east of Austin, the Hill Country near San Antonio, growing fields around Houston, or family farms in North and East Texas. West Texas, the Panhandle, the Rio Grande Valley and the Beaumont area remain coverage gaps. The Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association’s farm finder offers a starting point for discovering more growers.

Virginia pine, Leyland cypress and Arizona cypress appear in verified cutting fields, with Murray cypress available at some farms. Ask about field varieties before travelling: imported pre-cut firs can be a separate selection. These entries describe the farm-grown cutting option.

Many farms start around Thanksgiving, while several announce earlier November openings. Missing dates mean the next calendar needs checking. Early reservations, photography sessions and evening holiday events can follow different schedules from tree cutting.

Use the Christmas tree planner to measure your room and leave space for the stand and topper. Bring sturdy shoes, gloves and suitable transport straps. Check the farm’s latest notice for field inventory, admission, opening days and weather before leaving home.
